Grady's BBQ was first opened in 1986. The restaurant was started by Stephen Grady's brother in a converted service station. Although Stephen Grady's brother declared the barbecue business wasn't for him, he got his wife to help him.

Grady's Barbecue is a small, family-run establishment in Dudley, North Carolina. It's located at the intersection of two country paths. The building is quaint, but its menu is extensive and offers a variety of choices. Turkey, chicken, collards, and green beans are some of the traditional dishes.
