Baltimore's Inner Harbor to Transform into European Wine Garden This May

BALTIMORE, MD — The team behind the city's iconic Christmas Village is officially swapping evergreen trees for grapevines. Wine Village in Baltimore is returning to West Shore Park for its fourth and largest season yet, running from May 7 through May 31, 2026.

Following a record-breaking 2025, the European-inspired spring festival is expanding its footprint at the Inner Harbor with more dates, more vendors, and an ambitious new food and drink lineup.

A Reimagined Waterfront Experience

The heart of the event, the Wine Terrace, has undergone a layout redesign for 2026. Visitors can expect a lush, pop-up garden atmosphere featuring:

  • Expanded Seating: New pergolas, German-style picnic tables, and additional lounge areas with beach chairs and picnic blankets.
  • The Wine Terrace: Five themed booths featuring 30+ international and local selections, including European, New World, and Maryland wines (featuring Boordy Vineyards).
  • Family Fun: The historic European-style carousel returns to the waterfront, alongside group games like cornhole and giant Jenga.

2026: The Year of "Firsts" and Flavors

Organizers are leaning heavily into local partnerships and gourmet additions this year. New highlights include exclusive Baltimore-made seltzers and the first-ever Wine Village canned beer.

The expanded food lineup features a Churro-ria, fresh-sliced European cheeses, and Chesapeake Crab Baked Potatoes seasoned with Old Bay. For those looking for a heavier bite, truffle fries with burrata, smoked turkey legs, and chocolate-covered strawberries have been added to the 2026 menu.

Guests can also pick up branded Wine Village wine carriers or try the returning fan-favorite "Wine Glitter Bombs" at any wine booth.

Events & Entertainment

Wine Village isn't just about the pour; it's a full-scale community hub. The 2026 schedule is packed with reasons to visit:

  • Mother’s Day (May 10): The first 100 guests to purchase a glass of wine receive a complimentary rose.
  • Thursday Movie Nights: Classic films under the stars at Picnic Point.
  • Live Sports: Catch Orioles games on the big screens while enjoying an Orange Crush slushie.
  • The Arts Marketplace: Over 45 wooden booths featuring local artisans like Intentionally Linked Jewelry and B&B Glass Studios.

"Wine Village has quickly grown into a spring tradition where visitors can support small businesses from Baltimore and across the country," says CEO Thomas Bauer. "We can't wait to welcome everyone back."
